Full description
Photographer Jeff Tan dropped into the Mackay Environment Centre back in 2015. He had been on an expedition to Urannah Creek, where he had the chance to photograph some delightful landscapes. Jeff showed me one of his photos, evocatively named ‘Urannahlandscapes24’, which was taken as the sun set over the river. The deep shadows created an eerie, dark scene but, even in the dying light, the colours of the river rocks were easily visible through the clear, fast-flowing water. I wanted to learn more about the place.
