Full description

In this chapter the results of the analysis of the archaeobotanical assemblage from the rural village of Khirbet Beit Mazmīl, located on the western edge of Jerusalem, will be presented. The site is located on a hill, now enclosed by a walled apartment complex and next to a community center. It had been occupied, reused, and rebuilt almost continuously since the Late Byzantine period and was a part of a network of villages that dotted the countryside surrounding the city.
