JMA/Greece and the Levant

Few scholars would dispute how critical to Greek culture - in literature and religion as well as art - was the relationship between the Aegean and the Levant in the Late Bronze and early Iron Ages. Disagreements involve the date, direction, degree, and nature of influence; my own perspective sees Bernal's emphasis as welcome but misplaced.
