Water—its availability, quality, and management—is one of the big-gest societal, political, and ethical challenges humans across the globe must successfully resolve to mitigate the effects of climate change. Since Comparative Islamic Studies is interested in how Islamic sources, theories and methods can be used to solve practical problems, it is a great pleasure to announce this issue, volume 15.1–2, which focuses on water.
