Sendłak/Grażyna Bacewicz, 3. Marriage and Recognition

Bacewicz takes up the position of first violinist in the Polish Radio Orchestra. She marries Dr Andrzej Biernacki. She performs the premiere of her Violin Concerto No. 1. Her Trio for Oboe, Violin and Cello wins second prize in The Association of Polish Music Publishers’ Competition, and the critic, Michał Kondracki, notes Bacewicz’s ‘many interesting ideas…freshness of invention…endearing sincerity in the way she expresses herself’.
