Sandner/Keith Jarrett, 2. Three Steps to Jazz: Art - Charles - Miles

The hippy age and one of the most fascinating jazz groups reflecting the age with their music: The Charles Lloyd Quartet. It was probably first through his intense and ground- breaking performances with this group that Jarrett‘s larger career began. It led to his reluctant decision to accept Miles Davis‘ invitation and join his band, a duty which would require him to use an electric piano. After his period with Miles, he never played this instrument again.
