This article introduces some of the connections binding archaeology and nationalism together, including the interactions between archaeology and nationalism in the modern period, international organizations that undergird their connection, and the intersection of archaeology, nationalism, territorial boundaries, religio-cultural factors, political objectives, and cultural resource management.
