Full description
Gives the history of this movement which began as a protest against (Canadian) Bill C-45 which would have enabled the Canadian government to roll back treaty rights on First Nations reserves, among other proposed legislation. Round dances were a way that non-Indigenous allies could participate easily and offered a potent symbol, through hand-holding, of the notion of relationship.
