The Bhagavad Gita literally translates to the “Song of God,” and comprises a relatively small section of the much larger Indian epic The Mahabharata. The Mahabharata itself contains numerous, often interwoven, stories about two related families, the Kauravas and the Pandavas, and the events which culminated in a war between them.
