Prices
Institutional digital prices are set at the same price as the hardback edition of a book (if there is one) except for textbooks. Digital textbooks are supplied on a ‘lease basis’ whereby unlimited simultaneous user access ceases after 12 months unless renewed.
Initial purchase: £550 / $700 for unlimited user access for the first year
Years 2 and 3: £192 / $245 each year for unlimited user access (35% of initial purchase price)
Thereafter renewal for unlimited user access is £75 / $100 each year
If an institution chooses not to renew, the eBook textbook reverts to limited simultaneous use. Institutions can decline to renew any year, or reinstate unlimited user access at any time.

We are working with the most popular web-scale discovery services — Ex Libris Primo, EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS), Proquest Summon and OCLC Worldcat Discovery.
Libraries using any one of these online services should find it easy to integrate Equinox electronic publications into their collections.

Interactive Books
In addition to offering Reader Group functionality for class interaction, the interactive editions which are hosted on this platform are in ePub format which allows readers to:
Read through Texts from start to finish or navigate around the Text using the reader menu bar and or by following links that have been hard-coded within the text
Navigate and adjust the look of the reading interface itself. Beside the user account icon in the top right of the menu bar, there are four icons: a notepad, an eye denoting visibility, Aa for appearance, and a magnifying glass for search

Adjust formatting options to adjust how the text appears in the reader, enlarge the text, choose serif or sans serif font, invert the color (black on white or white on black text), and increase or decrease the margins

In 2024 we acquired Marion Boyars Publishers Ltd. and their imprint, Prospect books. The latter are all devoted to food studies while the Boyars titles are a combination of fiction/creative writing and non-fiction, the most prominent authors being Ivan Illich, Pauline Kael and John Cage.Only a small number of backlist titles on the Prospect and Marion Boyars lists have digital options. We offer direct supply and also work with the major international library suppliers/vendors such as EBSCO, Harrassowitz and many others. In 2024 we were accepted into the GOBI system. We do not license any vendors to host our digital books.If you would like us to quote, please contact Sarah Lee. Libraries can also order online but in the case of digital, we will need a site license to be completed and the IP addresses confirmed.

All Equinox books are published simultaneously in print and as eBooks/PDFs.Starting in 2025 we will also publish ePub3 editions whenever possible and we will be converting certain backlist titles to ePub3 standards. In addition, many books are also available as interactive editions (hosted on this. platform, access via password only).
