JBASR, the official journal of the British Association for the Study of Religions, publishes articles that address religion, the disciplinary history of religious studies and articles that advance empirical research and/or theoretical and methodological avenues of enquiry.

The journal began life in as DISKUS, a pioneering electronic format journal distributed on disk. In 1993 it became part of The Internet Journal of Religion hosted by Marburg University and moved to the British Association for the Study of Religions (BASR) in 2005. It moved to Equinox in 2025.

BASR members receive a subscription to the journal as part of membership which includes access to all backlist issues. Join BASR at their website https://basr.ac.uk/
