In the article titled ‘Zhu Xi and the Instrumental Value of Nature’, Seth D. Clippard argues that Zhu Xi’s theory of the investigation of things can effectively contribute to Confucian environmental ethics from a practical dimension. Herein I examine how this theory can guide Chinese environmental education.
