Full description

Although there have been studies on women in Gnosticism in general, very few have drawn together specific information and ideas on women within Manichaeism, although there is a prevalent idea that Christian women were attracted to Manichaeism because Manichaean women’s roles were in sharp contrast to the fairly limited roles available to women within mainstream Christianity by the fourth century CE.
