Biblical Studies
The field of biblical studies has been in flux for nearly a century. Consensus positions are being challenged as long-standing controversies are being revisited in light of newer developments and evidence. The questions asked of the text/s are changing and with that, new theoretical frameworks are being applied that render some of the traditional methods and their underlying presuppositions unhelpful. Our publishing reflects these trends.
The Collection emphasizes the study of the literary and socio-cultural contexts of the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament and New Testament and and also includes archaeological material.
It includes core books, a core journal as well as additional chapters from edited book collections and articles on Biblical studies topics drawn from across the Equinox journals list.
