Encountering Death: Cultural and Social Studies

This mini-collection looks at death and dying from a variety of disciplines in the humanities and social sciences focusing on the ways the living manage dying and the dead and how ideas about death have changed over the centuries in Western cultures.

Material specific to counseling or healthcare chaplaincy in a professional context are collected elsewhere.
