Islamic Studies Collection

Pricing & Spreadsheets

The Islamic Studies Collection includes research on Islam through comparisons between Islam and other religions, and between religious and non-religious factors and disciplines. It also contains scholarship devoted to the classical Islamic sciences, including traditions of learning such as Qur’anic exegesis, hermeneutics, law, theology, linguistic thought, Sufism, the Hadith and studies on the medieval genres of Arabic biography and history including critically edited editions of important classical manuscripts.

This Collection is also a component of the larger Religions of a Single God collection (in preparation) that aggregates all our material in Christianity, Judaism and Biblical Studies along with the Islamic Studies Collection.

As of June 9, 2023, the Collection comprises the following categories of material, all of which are identified on the accompanying Spreadsheet below or elsewhere on this site:
-37 core eBooks (some of which are also available in ePub format)
-1 core journal and 1 optional journal
- 25 free chapters from other Equinox books
- 172 free articles from other Equinox journals

Pricing and Discounts
The price for the Islamic Studies Collection is £3740/$4891. This represents a 30% discount off the regular prices of the core eBooks and core journal in this collection. Additional discounts are available to institutions interested in more than one collection. Prices are adjusted for institutions that have already purchased any of the core eBooks in the collection or that already subscribe to the core journal.

Hybrid Model
eBooks are sold as outright purchase with the exception of textbooks which are leased over a period of 3 years after which they are owned outright. Core journals are sold on an annual subscription basis. The supplemental chapters and articles are supplied as part of the core journal subscription and access ceases if the core journal subscription is cancelled. After cancellation of a subscription, an institution only retains perpetual access to the issues of the core journal included in the package, not to the supplemental material.
